Rita Ora confirms marriage to Marvel director: “I always wanted the fairytale”

Rita Ora, 31, confirmed her marriage to filmmaker Taika Waititi and said she was living a fairy tale. The British singer started dating the New Zealand director in March 2021. According to the Daily Mail, the artist confirmed the marriage during her participation in the ‘Greatest Night Ever’ podcast.

In recent weeks, rumors have surfaced that the Hot Right Now hitmaker and Taika had exchanged rings in an intimate ceremony in August in London.

Asked about her marriage to the director of ‘Thor: Ragnarok’ (2017) and ‘Thor: Love and Thunder’ (2022), Ora said on the podcast: ‘I’m in love. I’m very much in love. I’m in love, I’m in love, amen! But I love love as well. I’ve always been such a believer in it and I’ve always felt like I always wanted the fairytale and that’s what I grew up loving.’

‘My parents have been together for over 30 years, so for me it was always about love and finding a partner and all that, so I’m really happy I did. I made that choice. It made me happy and I love Taika. He’s so funny and lovely”, told the singer.

A source told The Sun: ‘It was a really intimate ceremony and super special for everyone there. Their nearest and dearest can see how madly in love they are.

In addition to his two films for Marvel, Waititi also directed “Jojo Rabbit” (2019), a production that won him the Oscar for Best Adapted Screenplay in 2020. Taika Waititi is the father of Te Hinekāhu, 10, and Matewa Kiritapu, 6, from his marriage to producer Chelsea Winstanley.
