The Weeknd took to social media to update fans on his state of health. Last Saturday (3/9), the singer had to interrupt one of the shows of the “After Hours Til Dawn Tour ”, which took place at Sofi Stadium, in Los Angeles, after losing his voice with only 15 minutes of show.

“Doctor says my voice is safe and with rest I’ll be solid and able to bring the show my TORONTO fans are waiting for. The LA date is being worked out soon. Thank you SO much for all the love and understanding that’s come my way. I love you all so much… XO”, he wrote. In another post, The Weeknd wrote: “nowhere i’d rather be than on that stage… see you soon XO”.

About 15 minutes into last Saturday’s show, the star’s voice cracked as he yelled “What’s up, LA?” After four songs, he decided he couldn’t go on. “My voice went out during the first song and I’m devastated. Felt it go and my heart dropped. My deepest apologies to my fans here. I promise I’ll make it up to you with a new date”, said The Weeknd after the show.
