“The Super Mario Bros. Movie” won the first trailer last Thursday (6). The video was released through a special Nintendo Direct, hosted by Shigeru Miyamoto, creator of Mario and other key Nintendo characters, on the Japanese company’s official YouTube channel.

In the trailer, it was possible to hear for the first time the voice of Chris Pratt as the traditional hero of games.The Mushroom Kingdom comes to life with rich colorful details, the animation is signed by the studio Illumination, the same responsible for “Despicable Me” and “Minions”. In addition to Mario, the famous characters of the franchise also stand out, among them Luigi, Toad and the villain Bowser.

Starring Chris Pratt, who will voice Mario in this new adventure, the film also has voiceovers by Anya Taylor-Joy as Princess Peach, Charlie Day as Luigi, Seth Rogen as Donkey Kong, Jack Black as Bowser, Keegan-Michael Key as Toad, Fred Armisen as Cranky Kong, Kevin Michael Richardson as Kamek and Sebastian Maniscalco as Spike.

‘The Super Mario Bros. Movie’ is scheduled for release on April 7, 2023.
