Colombian singer Shakira has been accused again of duty imposed in Spain. She has a trial for tax irregularities scheduled for November, and has received another indictment from the Spanish Public Prosecutor’s Office.

In the complaint, it is alleged that Shakira evaded approximately 6 million euros in taxes. The charge was admitted in July, and the details published this week. For now, no notification has been received at the singer’s home.

 

According to the text, there are two alleged crimes against the Public Treasury of Spain: Untrue income tax returns, and a corporate network involving tax havens. The singer’s legal team said they were focusing efforts for the defense on the upcoming trial.

In recent songs, Shakira has reportedly accused Pique of having participated in Fazenda debt issues. The singer did not comment on the case or on the rumors of the song’s lyrics. “He went out and left me with the debt in the Treasury,” read the literal translation of the song.
