Renowned actress Natalie Portman, recognized for her roles in the award-winning Black Swan and the Thor franchise, revealed in a recent interview that she never adopted the method acting technique, a common practice among many actors who seek to fully embody the character. Natalie said this is a luxury women don’t have.

The method, as it is called, involves the actor emotionally identifying with the character they are going to play, without pretending feelings, as if they were really becoming that person, imitating their language and gestures. “Although I have dedicated myself intensely to certain roles, I honestly believe that it is a luxury that women do not have. I don’t think children or partners would be very understanding if I insisted on being called ‘Jackie Kennedy’ all the time.” stated.

In the plot, Portman plays Elizabeth, an actress who travels to meet the couple and study Gracie’s personality so she can play her in an independent film.
