Director Matt Shakman, who is in charge of the Fantastic Four film at Marvel Studios, appears to have confirmed the casting of Pedro Pascal in the role of Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic for the long run.

With that, on his Instagram, the filmmaker reposted the news given by the entertainment website Pubity, which in turn credited the Hollywood actors union (SAG-AFTRA) for confirming Pascal in Quarteto.
It is worth noting that the news was not confirmed by websites considered more reliable in the Hollywood industry. Shakman’s repost, for now, is the main source for the lineup.

Furthermore, the director had previously stated that the film would begin recording in 2024.
Josh Friedman (Avatar: The Way of Water, Terminator: Dark Fate) is responsible for the script for Fantastic Four, which has not yet announced the main cast.
The film is scheduled to premiere on May 2, 2025.
