The video for “Best Thing I Never Had” was produced by Diane Martel, who also produced the videos for “Where Them At” (feat. Flo Rida, Nick Minaj) by David Guetta, “Right Thru Me” by Nicki Minaj , between others. In it, Beyoncé recalled that her ex-love never paid attention to her and is seen preparing for her wedding, which actually means freedom after getting over the relationship.
