The sequel to the DC movie, Joker, has been confirmed by director Todd Phillips, who shared a photo of actor Joaquin Phoenix reading one of the first scripts for the film. In addition, the director also showed on his Instagram profile a cover of the script. Warner Bros., responsible for the franchise, did not make a statement even after Phillips’ post. Joker 2 doesn’t have many details revealed yet, but here’s some important information.

The great villain of The Batman was reformulated in the version of Todd Phillips, and gained public taste. Big names have already played the famous villain on the big screen, and it looks like Joaquin Phoenix will stick around for a while. Comedian and clown Arthur Fleck who became something of a popular hero in Gotham City after episodes of attacks. The film grossed over $1 billion worldwide, 12 Oscar nominations, and won two: Phoenix for best actor and also Hildur Guonadottir, for the best soundtrack.

Literally translated from French, “shared madness” brings new directions to the plot. The term may refer to Arthur’s disorder, or it may suggest a possible partner for the villain.
