Last Friday (14), according to information released by the BBC, Katy Perry, Lionel Richie and Andrea Bocelli will sing during the British royal inauguration of the coronation of King Charles III held next month in London. Previously, the proposal was made for Adele, Harry Styles and Elton John, however, the singers denied the presentation.

The BBC, the official channel that will air the coronation, reported that: “The show will celebrate a new chapter in the nation’s history, with themes of love, respect and optimism, celebrating the four nations, their communities and the Commonwealth.” Following a day of celebration, the ceremony will also feature performances by the band Take That and classical music composer Alexis Ffrench.

The coronation of the new king of the royal family, according to a survey carried out by YouGov, about 64% of the British population and 75% of young people said they are not interested in the celebration and only 46% of those interviewed said they would attend the show.
