Biden also celebrated the release of Abigail Idan, a 4-year-old American-Israeli, saying she is safe in Israel, but highlighted that there is more work to be done.

White House national security adviser Jake Sullivan previously indicated to CNN that Israel would be willing to extend the pause in fighting as long as Hamas continues to release hostages. Regarding other Americans detained by the group, Biden expressed hope, but said he did not have concrete information at the moment.
