Representative Mike Turner, chairman of the Intelligence Committee of the United States House of Representatives, said this Wednesday (14) that the country is under a “serious threat to national security”.

As a result, the Joe Biden government did not comment on the matter, which is under secrecy. Still unconfirmed, the threat would be linked to space operations involving Russia, according to sources interviewed by Reuters.

In a statement, Turner stated that the Intelligence Committee made the information available to all members of the US Congress. The congressman also asked Joe Biden to remove the confidentiality of information related to the threat.

“I request that President Biden declassify all information related to this threat so that Congress, the Administration and our allies can openly discuss the actions necessary to respond to this threat,” Turner said.

Mike Turner and his office did not provide further details about the threat.

In addition, two sources interviewed by Reuters said that the threat is related to Russia and operations in space and that the issue is considered highly confidential, but without sharing additional details.
