The information was released by major news outlets such as Fox Sports and the New York Post, in which the Minnesota Timberwolves player is accused of having pressured and bribed the woman into having an abortion for her own child. The images detail that Paige Jordae sent pregnancy tests to the athlete, who allegedly responded in a mocking manner.

In one of the messages, the woman stated that years ago she had had an abortion and that the attitude was one of her actions that she regrets and that she could not do again. Anthony Edwards responds with irony, reporting that Paige Jordae could not “bring a child into the world”.

In an attempt to further force the removal of the child, the athlete sent US$100,000 to the woman and even forced her to send him a video inserting the pills as proof that she was having the abortion. After the message and proof that he had carried out the action, Anthony Edwards ignored Paige Jordae’s statements on social media.

As a way of defending himself, the athlete stated that: “I made comments in the heat of the moment that are not mine and that are not aligned with what I believe and who I want to be as a man. All women should be supported and empowered to make their own decisions about their bodies and what is best for them.”
