The issue in focus was his decision not to be vaccinated against Covid-19, which resulted in him being excluded from major tournaments, although this restriction no longer affects him.

The world number 1 was incisive when addressing the issue: “People tried to say that I am against vaccines, which is not true. However, I am not exclusively in favor of them either. I simply defend freedom of choice”, replied the Serbian 36 years old.

Another point highlighted in the interview was the mental strength that distinguishes him. Djokovic was asked about this “gift” he had, but he promptly corrected: “I need to clarify. It’s not a gift or a gift, it’s something developed through hard work,” he said.
