2022 Emmys | ‘Succession’, ‘Ted Lasso’ and ‘The White Lotus’ lead nominations

The Television Academy, responsible for the Emmy, announced last Tuesday (12), the nominees for the 74th edition of the award. The names were revealed by actors J.B. Smoove (Curb Your Enthusiasm) and Melissa Fumero (Brooklyn Nine-Nine) during a live stream on YouTube.

HBO Max’s “Succession” leads with 25 nominations, followed by Apple TV’s “Ted Lasso” and HBO Max’s “The White Lotus” with 20 each. “Only Murders in the Building”, Star+, received 17 nominations and “Euphoria”, HBO Max, accumulated 16.

“Round 6″ became the first non-English language production nominated in the drama category. The series created by Hwang Dong-hyuk received 14 nominations. Including “Lead Actor In a Drama Series” (Lee Jung-jae), “Supporting actress In a Drama Series” (Jung Ho-yeon) and “Directing For a Drama Series” (Hawang Dong-hyuk).

HBO was the nomination champion, with about 130 productions cited. In second place, Netflix had 129. More than 17,000 Television Academy members will be able to vote for the awards. Winners will be announced on September 12 on NBC at 8 PM ET / 5 PM PT.
