In August of this year, Lady Gaga was confirmed as a co-star in DC’s “Joker: Folie a Deux”, and it has not yet been revealed which character the artist will play. But the biggest theory circulating among fans is that Gaga will live in Harley Quinn. In an interview with MTV News, actress Margot Robbie, responsible for bringing the original version of the villain to life in theaters, spoke for the first time about the possibility of the singer playing the character in the sequel.

“It makes me so happy, because I said from the very beginning, that all I want is for Harley Quinn to be one of those characters, the way like MacBeth or Batman, always get passed, you know, from a great actor to a great actor”, declared Margot Robbie.

She then continued: “And it’s kind of like someone gets to do their Batmanor someone to do their Mcbeth or someone, you know? And I feel like in not so many cases are they female characters. Queen Elizabeth I, but like beyond that I got to have a crack out as well which was I honored I do. I was like, ‘Wow, Cate Blanchett did  Queen Elizabeth’. Now I get to”.

“It’s such an honor to have built a foundation strong enough that Harley can now be one of those characters that other actors get to have a go at playing. And I think she’ll [Lady Gaga] do something incredible with it,” concluded Margot Robbie.
