“I think this discussion goes deeper than just saying that. Is Max Verstappen one of the best drivers in the history of Formula 1? Absolutely. He has proven this enough. He is in a team in which he feels very comfortable. A lot of things are built around it”, said Lando Norris.

The driver continued to explain what prevented the change: “For anyone, even Max Verstappen himself from a few years ago, going against Max now is extremely difficult. So I don’t think it’s a question of fear or not. I don’t think I would ever be afraid to face someone.”

The athlete reveals that, if he made the decision to change teams, it would be a very difficult job to adapt, especially since he would not feel comfortable having to prove himself better than the other drivers. Furthermore, he reported that the change would not be a smart decision for his career.

Throughout the interview, Lando Norris made it clear that staying at McLaren will continue to be a positive thing in his professional career, helping his growth and consolidation within his team and Formula 1. Racing will return in March with the Grand Prix in Bahrain with 24 phases.
