“During the suspension period, which began on December 14 and resulted in the loss of 12 games, Green completed steps that demonstrated his commitment to bringing his conduct up to the standards expected of NBA players. He has attended meetings with an advisor and met on multiple occasions with representatives from the NBA, the Warriors and the National Basketball Players Association, both of which will continue throughout the season,” the published statement said.

Draymond Green’s return was already expected, due to the player’s absence, however, injuries to Chris Paul and Gary Payton II helped the athlete rejoin the team as quickly as possible. According to information, the American should take another week to take the court.

Previously, Golden State Warriors coach Steve Kerr, in a press conference, denied media speculation about Draymond Green’s return in an attempt to ward off rumors and investigations into the procedures the athlete was undergoing.

The decision applied by the NBA on the player was due to numerous aggressive actions, but mainly due to the action taken against Jusuf Nurkic in the match against the Phoenix Suns, in December. However, this is not the first punishment the athlete has received, at the beginning of the season, Draymond Green applied a rear naked choke to Rudy Gobert while playing against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
