Ringo Starr, the drummer of The Beatles, has historically been relegated to the background when it comes to the legendary band. He was always dulled by Lennon and McCartney’s shine, and by the not-as-popular George Harrison. Ring was the last member to join The Beatles, and, in general, he agreed with his position in the organization chart of the band.

However, our nosey friend Ringo did make his contribution to the band’s success, not only as a permanent element of the background, as explained earlier, but also with almost a dozen of songs written by himself.

Yesterday, Ringo Starr turned 77, and today we celebrate the underrated Beatle remembering his 11 songs that made their way to the band’s classic discography!
