Mario Lopez to lead ‘Gay Pride’ on Sunday as ‘Grand Marshal’ (Finally!)

Mario Lopez got into the spirit of things in Miami Beach for the ‘Gay Pride’ weekend events.

The 41-year-old Grand Marshal squeezed his pal’s derriere in front of onlookers on Saturday as the festivities kicked off. The ‘Extra’ host sipped a refreshing beverage during an excursion along Miami’s colorful Ocean Drive district. He started the day by hosting a press event at the festival’s Lummus Park and posing for pictures with fans.

Lopez revealed that his support of the gay community hits close to home; oddly it’s been rumored for years that he’s gay!

He says…”A couple of cousins of mine, who I’m very close to, happen to be gay. I’m very close with them and like to support when I can. I’m supportive of events like these and supportive for a lot of the issues that gay pride stands for. The only people who were important to me were in my family. Once I had their support, it really didn’t matter.”

Lopez is accompanied by his wife Courtney on his trip down South. The couple have two children together daughter Gia, aged four, and son Dominic who turns two in September.
