It’s a big claim to fame to have broken the internet with your booty, but to break it again with an emoji of it is something remarkable.
That is exactly what Kim Kardashian achieved with the release of her signature emoji set, Kimoji, on Monday.
At one point, Apple’s App Store had to deal with 9 000 downloads per millisecond – causing the online store to temporarily crash. “Apple, I’m so sorry I broke your App Store!!!” Kim proudly apologized via Twitter.
The tech giant did, however, quickly reinforce the store’s foundations to be able to withstand the heavy demand for butt emojis. Along with many of those, the app contains over 250 emojis related to the Keeping up with the Kardashians star, including her nude and pregnant profile, her infamous ugly cry face and selfies.
The app will cost you $1.99 and can be used on iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch for iMessage, WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger and email. Much to the dismay of her fans, though, the app is currently not supported on Instagram and Twitter.
