The all-star lineup of Matthew Perry, Jennifer Aniston, David Schwimmer, Courteney Cox, Matt LeBlanc and Lisa Kudrow are all set to appear on a TV special together.
The special won’t take the form of a new Friends episode as many fans would have hoped, but rather a 2-hour NBC special honoring TV legend and frequent director of the hit sitcom, James Burrows.
According to Buzzfeed, Burrows directed 15 episodes of the show and producers at NBC are hoping to reunite the cast for the special set to air on February 21.
“I’m hoping all six of them will be all in the same room at the same time, but I’m not sure if we can logistically pull that off,” NBC’s chair of entertainment, Bob Greenblatt, said.
The special is produced by Sean Hayes, who worked with the legendary TV director on nearly 200 episodes of another hit series, Will & Grace. Actors from that series, along with stars of Taxi, Cheers, Frasier and Mike & Molly are also set to appear in tribute to the man who directed them.
