Kanye West: I made Taylor Swift famous

Kanye West released his latest album in typical shambolic style and among the highlights was his claim that he made Taylor Swift famous…and he wants to sleep with her.

West dropped The Life of Pablo at a release party in Madison Square Garden in New York City and while blasting the album, he also cashed in on the attention by presenting the new Yeezy Season 3 clothing line.

The crowd present went wild as the rapper’s latest work filled the air, but fans of Taylor Swift are not happy with some of the content on the album.

Swifties are most upset over the song “Famous” in which Kanye claims to have made the 26-year-old pop singing sensation famous.
In the duet with Rihanna, Kanye raps: “I feel like me and Taylor still might have sex…why?”

He then cheekily answers his own question: “Cause I made that bitch famous.”

Kanye is of course referring in the song to that time he interrupted Swift during her acceptance speech for the Best Female Video award at the 2009 MTV VMAs.

“Despite claiming that he ‘made her famous’, Taylor Swift’s lowest selling album sold more than Kanye’s best selling,” Shady Music Facts, a Twitter account filled with interesting music trivia, tweeted.

A Taylor Swift fan account also slammed Kanye’s sexually charged lyric, tweeting: “Even if Kanye did make Taylor famous why would she sexually owe him anything. Can we talk about that part of the line too. Thanks!”

On Instagram, though, Taylor’s own brother shut down the whole debacle by posting a clip of himself tossing his Yeezy sneakers in the garbage.
