Harrison Ford will reprise his role as Indiana Jones after it was announced that there will be a fifth installment directed by Steven Spielberg.
The Walt Disney Co. announced on Tuesday that the film will be readied for release on July 19, 2019, BBC reports.
“Indiana Jones is one of the greatest heroes in cinematic history, and we can’t wait to bring him back to the screen in 2019,” Walt Disney Studios chairman Alan Horn said.
The previous film in the franchise, Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, was released in 2008, 27 years after Spielberg and Ford teamed up for the first, Raiders of the Lost Ark, in 1981.
The leading man will be 77 years old at the time of the release of the planned fifth installment.
The franchise has thus far raked in a staggering $2 billion at the box office.
