Kanye West is working on his latest album like a bad contractor works on a kitchen expansion.
The 38-year-old rapper released The Life of Pablo on 14 February, but has now gone back and “fixed” three songs on the album, calling it a living piece of contemporary art.
West tweeted: “Fixing Wolves 2day … Worked on it for 3 weeks. Life Of Pablo is a living breathing changing creative expression. #contemporaryart (sic)”
That track now features more prominent contributions from Vic Mensa and Sia while “Famous” now has more vocal layering on Rihanna’s hook. Frank Ocean also debuts on a brand new song creatively titled “Frank’s Track.”
The album is a digital-only release exclusively available through Tidal, a streaming service launched by Kanye’s pal Jay-Z. This gives Kanye the power to go back and change an album that has already been released to the public. Almost like switching Leonardo DiCaprio out for John Travolta when The Revenant comes out on Netflix.
Kanye has also teased another upcoming album right off the back of TLOP and is said to have remained in the studio to start work on it while fiddling further with his last album.
“Excited to see my family and finish the final mixes of the Life of Pablo and keep working on Turbo Grafx 16 and Season 4… (sic)” he tweeted.
