Amber Heard has dropped a defamation case she filed against comedian Doug Stanhope three months ago.
The 30-year-old actress filed the case in June after Depp’s friend published an article in which he claimed that Heard was the one abusing Depp with her alleged manipulative behavior.
“Amber is moving on, getting back to work and leading a normal, happy life,” one of Heard’s reps told TMZ.
Heard dropped the case after she and her estranged husband agreed during their divorce settlement that all cases stemming from the domestic abuse allegations were scrapped.
Stanhope published his article on TheWrap.com in June after Amber requested a restraining order against Johnny, 53, because he had allegedly hit her and thrown at phone at her during a fierce argument in May.
Although this case was dropped, the former couple’s legal battle looks far from over.
We recently reported that Amber Heard slammed Johnny Depp after he paid the divorce settlement money she promised to charity over to those organizations directly.
This came shortly after Heard announced she would pay the $7 million settlement over to the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles and the American Civil Liberties Union.
