Celebrities react to Donald Trump as US president

Donald Trump is the president of the United States after a major upset against his fierce rival Hillary Clinton.

Before the election, we reported that it seemed like Hollywood was basically unanimously behind the Democrat with a few notable exceptions (look at our gallery above to see them) and now the stars will have to suck it up. Will they, though?

Just like our favorite celebrities were preaching to us about who to vote for before the election, now most of them are sulking about their candidate losing.

Captain America star Chris Evans tweeted: “This is an embarrassing night for America. We’ve let a hatemonger lead our great nation. We’ve let a bully set our course. I’m devastated.”

“We have done a terrible thing. We have done a terrible thing,” Martha Plimton very dramatically weighed in.

Madonna went into full denial mode and tweeted: “A New Fire Is Lit We Never Give Up. We Never Give In.”

Paris Jackson turned to a fantasy world for her escape from cold reality, tweeting: “Not enough tea in the world to make this cold go away not enough love in this country to make trump melt like the wicked witch of the west.”

Cher went full-blast with the drama and tweeted: “I AM NOT OK#electionNight”

“Make no mistake, this is a white nationalist take over,” was Rose McGowan’s long jump to a rather unfounded conclusion.

Will Arnett tweeted: “How do we explain this to future generations of women? And minorities?#weshouldbeashamedofourselves”

Kristie Alley was the lone supportive voice for the Republican and tweeted: “CONGRATULATIONS PRESIDENT TRUMP! @realDonaldTrump against all odds ..against the establishment and even against most from the GOP..U did it!”

Our favorite of the night among all the doom and gloom by Hollywood’s finest, was Seth MacFarlane’s declaration.

“At least pot’s legal,” he tweeted.
