The Green sisters are back together on TV yet again.
Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon are set to star a new drama series about morning shows and the New York media scene.
The package is expected to be offered to premium cable networks like HBO and streaming services like Netflix, although no outlet is yet attached.
The project is being led by former HBO head of drama Michael Ellenberg and his newly launched film and TV production company Media Res. Jay Carson, from House of Cards fame will write and produce, while both Aniston and Witherspoon will star and produce.
This would mark Jennifer’s big return to tv since Friends wrapped in 2004. She has been busy appearing in films like Marley & Me and Cake since the ending of the iconic show, but has made occasional guest appearances in shows like Cougar Town and 30 Rock, the last one earning her a guest star Emmy nomination.
For her part, Witherspoon recently starred on HBO’s Big Little Lies, which not only earned the Oscar-winning actress an Emmy nomination earlier this month, but also critical acclaim for her role in the show, which is in talks for a potential second season.
It’s been more than a decade since Reese played Rachel’s little sister Jill Green. Since then, Aniston and Witherspoon have remained friends over the years.
We can’t wait to see this pair teaming up again!
