Khal Drogo has finally married his real-life Khaleesi!
After 12 years of dating, Jason Momoa and Lisa Bonet have officially tied the knot this October in intimate celebration at the California home.
Although it was widely rumored that the couple have gotten married almost 10 years ago, a source confirmed to Us Weekly that Momoa, 38, and Bonet, 49, just recently became official.
“Jason Momoa and Lisa Bonet had an official wedding a few weeks ago at their house in Topanga, California,” the insider said. “Apparently they weren’t officially married until then! They said they ‘made it official.’”
Another source revealed that the pair bought a marriage license from the LA County Registrar on October 2—a week before secretly exchanging their vows.
Bonet’s oldest daughter, Zoë Kravitz, whom she shares with ex-husband Lenny Kravitz, attended the wedding, as did fellow newlyweds Alicia Vikander and Michael Fassbender, and several of Momoa’s former costars.
“It was a big party and people came from out of town to attend,” the source confirmed.
The Game of Thrones star and the Cosby Show alum met through mutual friends in 2005. The pair welcomed their first child, Lola, in July 2007. It was believed that they married later that same year. Their second child, Nakoa-Wolf, was born in 2008.
Though Jason and Lisa were not married at the time, he often referred to Bonet as his “wife.”
“My wife being a very pretty woman. She’s beautiful and I love her. … My wife’s Lisa Bonet. I’m a very lucky man,” he said in an interview in 2013.
Now, four years later, and with a wedding ring on their hands, we are sure Momoa and Bonet are more in love than ever!
