After gracing our year with one of the biggest hits of 2017, Bodka Yellow, and a pair of Grammy nominations, now we’re finally getting an album from Cardi B.
Her debut album, titled Invasion of Privacy, will go on sale next week—on April 6, to be exact, according to the rapper’s announcement made via Instagram Monday night, alongside the cover of her anticipated release, which already has over a million likes on the platform.
And although the album is certainly coming much sooner than expected, Belcalis Almanzar, Cardi’s real name, had previously hinted at its imminent arrival during her acceptance speech last month at the iHeartRadio Music Awards, where she promised a new release in April, though without naming a specific date.
Invasion of Privacy’s release date also comes as Cardi B is set to make her debut on Saturday Night Live, where she will appear as musical guest on the April 7 broadcast, same episode that Black Panther star Chadwick Boseman will host.
Since the striking success of her single Bodak Yellow, Cardi B has collabed with Migos and Nicki Minaj (Motrosport), Offset (Um Yea), 21 Savage (Bartier Cardi), and Bruno Mars (Finesse). In addition, Cardi will join Mars in the final stretch of his 24K Magic tour later this year.
Debut album, joint tour, and an alleged baby on the way? It looks like 2018 will be a sweet, sweet year for Cardi B!
