Anne is proud of her future new weight!
The Oscar-winning actress uploaded a video to her Instagram account Thursday evening of her intense workout routine. But, contrary to what it might seem like, the motive behind her post has little to do with staying fit.
“I am gaining weight for a movie role and it is going well,” Hathaway captioned the video. “To all the people who are going to fat shame me in the upcoming months, it’s no me, it’s you. Peace xx,” she wrote.
So far, Anne’s video working out—along with her message slamming the critics—has been viewed over 956,415 times.
Although Hathaway didn’t share any details of which movie she’s putting the extra pounds on for, her IMDb page does indicate that the actress has at least 4 upcoming projects that have not yet been filmed nor produced. The list includes films such as The Lifeboat and Live Fast Die Hot.
This is not the first time that the actress has faced critics of her appearance. In 2016, a then-pregnant Anne posted a bikini picture of herself.
“So, posting a bikini pic is a little out of character for me, but just now while I was at the beach I noticed I was being photographed. I figured if this kind of photo is going to be out in the world it should at least be an image that makes me happy (and be one that was take with my consent. And with a filter 🙂 ).”
