In a rare interview with Esquire released on Tuesday, Tom Hardy briefly opened up about his relationship with Prince Harry. And let’s just say the actor thinks very highly of the red-headed royal.
When asked how he and his wife, Charlotte Riley, landed the coveted invite to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s epic wedding at St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle, the The Revenant star refused to share many details, simply describing their friendship as “deeply private.” However, Hardy did say what we all already knew— “Harry is a f***** legend.”
Hardy has been friends with Harry for at least 8 years now. The actor met the royal when he became an ambassador for Prince Charles’ charity, The Prince’s Trust, in 2010. “I became an Ambassador for The Prince’s Trust to show my support for its work with tens of thousands of disadvantaged young people every year,” the British actor expressed in a statement when joining the charity. “It’s so important to me that they get the life-changing second chance that I had.”
And last year, when Tom Hardy’s World War II film Dunkirk was released, Harry attended the London world premiere and even met with the cast and crew.
Does this mean we’ll get to see a glance of Harry and Tom’s epic friendship at the premiere of Venom? Finally! Something that actually gets us excited about this movie!
