Unlike Taylor Swift, not every celebrity’s sudden political awareness is well welcomed. Hence, the Lana Del Rey and Azealia Banks Twitter feud.
Azealia Banks is no stranger to fighting celebrities online. Nicki Minaj, Pharrell Williams, Cardi B, Zayn Malik, and even our queen Beyoncé (HOW DARE YOU?!) … The rapper has taken shots at pretty much every star you can imagine. And now we can add Lana del Rey to that list.
Last week, Lana aired out Kanye West for his supportive comments of President Trump and newfound desire to abolish the 13th Amendment, which, as you might recall, put and end to slavery in the United States.
“Trump becoming our president was a loss for the country but your support of him is a loss for the culture,” the singer commented directly under Yeezy’s Instagram post.
And though many praised Lana for letting Kanye have it, the comment apparently didn’t sit well with Azealia Banks, who took to Twitter to criticize Del Rey’s attack.
“Don’t use Kanye for your own vapid attempt to seem politically aware when there is SO MUCH MORE bootleg witchcraft you could be doing to TRY and take down 45,” Banks wrote on Twitter.
And while most stars stay away from Banks constant rants, Lana really took her time to plot her comeback and not only responded to Azealia, but even went on to threaten her in a cryptic tweet.
“I won’t not f–ck you the f–ck up. Period,” Lana wrote, urging Banks in a subsequent tweet to pull up anytime if she really wants that smoke.
The rapper then started taking some cheap shots at Lana Del Rey over her physical appearance. But she can now stop grasping at straws, because it’s clear who won the Lana del Rey and Azealia Banks Twitter feud. And let’s say the victor doesn’t sell no soaps.
