Is A Wizards Of Waverly Place Reboot Already On the Making?

It’s not even been 10 years since we said goodbye to the Russo family back in 2012. But the show’s stars miss it so much (as we all do) that they are already taking about a possible Wizards of Waverly Place reboot.

In an interview with Entertainment Tonight David Henrie confessed that he and Selena Gomez have had several brainstorming sessions about where the Disney Chanel series reboot could pick back up.

“Selena and I have a reboot! We sit and talk about it all the time. It’s not formal. But Selena and I sit and talk about what would the reboot be. We have a whole take. We have a whole thing,” the actor explained.

As for the storyline, Henrie shared: “We want to start off the show a few years later—at the worst place ever so throughout the series you give [the Russos] a beautiful arc of reuniting. So start them out divided, Alex’s a fashionista off killing it in some other part of the realm, Justin is like the principal who has a family now, Max has the sub shop but it is run down. Start us all completely discombobulated and throughout the course of the series you then bring us all together.”

And though checking back on the magical family is just an idea at this point, with Disney reviving iconic series like That’s So Raven and Lizzie McGuire, a Wizards of Waverly Place reboot suddenly doesn’t seem so unlikely.
