Since Coney Island’s spinning teacups from the 1800’s, amusement parks have come a long way. Today, Formula Rossa, a 150 miles per hour ride located in the United Arab Emirates, is the fastest roller coaster in the world, and Six Flags Great Adventure’s King Ka, has been the tallest roller coaster since May 2005, with a height of 456 ft.
There’s nothing that compares with the thrill of a roller coaster ride. However, Disney, Universal and other companies are taking a look into the future of amusement parks, and it’s like nothing we’ve seen before.
A combination of virtual reality gear and the most incredible new rides, slides, sights and frights, are coming soon. Theme parks of the future not only promise to bring the best attractions in history, but to take us to fantastic worlds we’ve only dreamed of or seen on movies.
